We run a small cattery situated in the country right outside of White Lake, North Carolina. We moved here from Hawaii several years ago, bringing all of our bengal family with us. We started breeding bengals in 1998 with the goal in mind to improve the breed, enjoy these wonderful animals and have a lot of fun doing it. 10 years later we're still at it and still having a great time!
Our cattery name was originally Kai Bengals. Our focus over the last five years has been showing and breeding only the very best cats so we decided to change our cattery name to better reflect that endevour. Meridian was chosen as the new name to represent us and our bengals. Meridian has several definitions but the one we like is this: The highest point or stage of development; peak.
That is our constant mission in regards to type, confirmation, beauty and the ever important temperament.
All of our adult cats and kittens get lots of one on one attention everyday and are treated as valued members of our family. Every cat is made to feel special and loved. Socialization is of equal importance to appearance.
We handle each kitten from birth, to assure well adjusted, playful, happy cats go to their new homes.
We plan our breedings with the goal of producing at least one or two show kittens to keep back for our own program or to help another breeder out with their goals. We believe this philosophy benefits the pet buyer as well, because each litter of kittens is of high caliber and most of these high caliber kittens will go to pet homes. We want everyone to have a show class bengal patroling their livingroom! |
