Dear Teri and Nial, We don’t know how to thank you for the two wonderful kittens we got from your recent litter. Yes, we are thanking you, because Tolstoy and Pushkin came into our home happy, healthy, and accustomed to being loved and played with. When you say your kittens are raised as a part of your family, you mean every word of it. Because of your hands-on approach to your kittens, we adopted sweet, loving, socialized kittens, unlike those fearful kittens that are raised in isolated kennels. We saw, first hand, how each and every one of your kittens receives personal attention, affection and playtime. It was amazing to see the extensive effort you put forth in maintaining your immaculate cattery. We also wanted to thank you for allowing us to visit and bond with our kittens until they were old enough to leave their mom, Isis. We would be delighted to recommend your cattery and kittens to anyone looking for the adventure and joy of owning a Bengal! Sincerely, Susan and Leo Melanson |
| Hi Teri, Just an update... Minna and Peeka have started playing together a little. You can tell Peeka really wants to cut loose and play, but isn't ready to fully commit. Minna keeps trying, her persistence is amazing, but she is a little leery about getting too close for too long to the big monster. I think it is only a matter of time before they are best of friends. I don't regret our decision to buy a kitten in any way. Minna is very lovable and so playful, and Peeka is definitely not bored any more. You really did a nice job with the kittens and their socialization. Give Isis a scratch behind the ears for us. Marie's kitten, Nickle, is also doing great. She says he and the dog are now playing together and are buddies. Attached are some current pictures. She is getting big so fast! Kersey |
| Hi Nial and Teri, Kitties are doing great!! They are full of kisses and hugs with wonderful dispositions. We love them to death! We are getting new female the first of February from Australia - so Omar should be a happy guy. Thanks so much for your help with these wonderful kitties. Will keep watching your web page for your updates on litters. Sincerely, Kathy and Mario |
| Hi Teri and Nial, a few lines to tell you how delighted I am about Simba. The car trip was not too easy but once he got home, he used the litter box right away, came to sleep on my bed real close to me on the very first night, what a pleasure. He is a lot of fun, trying absolutly everything, unafraid, very forward. Thanks a million, will drop you lines, from time to time with pix. Aloha, Gerard |
| Hi there! My family and I adopted Sasha last summer and we love her so much. She really is an awesome companion. I would like to be put on a wait list for a spotted male, prefferably one of Merin's. He is such a beautiful cat! Thank you for our wonderful bengal. Erica Smitman |
| Hi Nial and Teri, Just wanted to leave you guys with some pictures of Edgar. Edgar is doing well. He's so friendly and hasn't messed up my house YET! btw, I named him "Musashi" after a legendary samurai, and guess what...he's taking on the role of his name. He's such a strong and proud Bengal. When I have to take him somewhere in his cage, he's like a siren! =) Mahalo, Chris Ichiki |
| Hello Nial and Teri, It's been a while and I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how Maia (the spotted baby) and Phoebe (the marbled baby) are doing. The are best friends who play together, sleep together, and get in trouble together. They love our (gray) grown up cat Chloe (in fact they follow her everywhere and sometimes get bopped for doing something silly to her.....like when Maia tried to nurse the second week she was here, or when Phoebe landed on her (Chloe's) head after jumping from the couch) Our other cat Simone still has no time for the little ones but they haven't given up yet! Here are some pictures of our babies. They sure grow fast (Phoebe is six months old and Maia is about 2 months behind her). My only wish is that they will soon outgrow their 5am crazies (I think they might be part rooster with all the talking they do in the morning). It's not so bad during the week but apparently they don't quite get the meaning of the word "weekend" (which in my dictionary means sleeping in). We love them both very much and I think they love us too! = ) I hope all is well with you and your bengal family. Sincerely, Sharon Velez Erickson |
| HI Nial and Teri! We would love to become part of your owners circle! I have attached another picture of Maximus drinking from the bath room sink. He likes to think its his own personal water fountain. Max is doing well. A few tid bits on what he has learned to do (from where? we have no idea); he loves to play fetch, drink water straight from the bathroom faucet (see pic), and he is crazy about blankets. When we were told that bengals have very distinct personalites we had no idea how distinct .He already knows that he is the king of the house and is only a week shy of six-months. Thank you again for our little piece of heaven. We'll keep in touch Maile and Jeff |
| Aloha Nial and Teri; Just wanted to update you on Cleo. She's one tough cookie. She is adapting and adjusting to her new home and family quite well. Whitney has been doing a real good job with her. We are really enjoying her. She and Coco are so cute together. Spice is much more affectionate toward us, but, they both still hiss when they come into the same room, then Spice runs out. Coco and Cleo are forever buddies. Cleo keeps trying to introduce herself to Spice, but, Spice is being stand-offish. I'm sure Cleo will break down Spice's defenses to some degree at one point. We'll let you know when that happens. I've attached some really precious shots. If you can use them on your Bengals Owners pic. site, by all means go ahead. Aloha Lisa,Dave,Whitney,Coco,Spice and Cleo. |
| Dear Nial and Teri; Thank you for my lovable, wildly energetic, playful bengal kittens. They have many visitors and regard humans as cat toys. Your early care made them very social; I recommend your cattery to friends who are becoming addicted to bengals. I named the marble male Kaku for the great baracuda. He lives up to his name only when eating meat, otherwise, he lets his sister steal his cat food. The spotted female is named Ka'Imi and we call her 'imi the explorer, huntress: the name suits her well. The kittens "help" with everything, especially in the kitchen. Both play with water, will wade for a tasty bribe and play outside in light rain. Their favorite toys are Ti leaves and crumpled paper balls. Hope you enjoy the pics of 'Imi and Kaku's antics and escapades. Aloha, Janie Culp |
| Nial & Teri, What can I say Argus has been great. I just hope we are not feeding him too much. He has so much energy that he tires all the other cats out and us too, and he is still going strong, bouncing all over the place. He finally ventured upstairs last night and slept with us. He made quick friends with our other male cat, Ogre. Ogre is real gentle with Argus. Our three female cats are a little harder sell, but he is not giving up. Anyhow everything is fine with Argus, and we love him. Mark & Uyen |
| Nial/Teri, My wife and I truly want to thank you for Argus and now Atlas. These guys were meant for each other. We have not seen Argus jump this high or run so fast, until we got Atlas. They are constantly chasing and wrestling with each other. Pushing each other to the limit. I feel a little sorry for Ogre, since Argus is mostly with Atlas now, instead of him. You guys were right, Atlas can hold his own with the best of them. I just wish Atlas would quit trying to climb my legs and back when I do not have on long pants or a shirt. Best of all though is how they both relieve our daily stresses and melt our hearts with their head butts, purring, and nose touches. They are excellent companions. The dragon fly is a great toy, thanks. So great in fact Atlas drags that thing all over the house. Sorry to say though, the dragon fly is now wingless and very tattered looking. Even though it does not look as good as it did, Argus still loves playing with it. Thanks also for allowing to visit so many times. I really enjoyed interacting with all of the kittens/cats. The love you have for them is very evident. Thanks again, Mark/Uyen |
| Hi Nial & Teri, We just wanted to thank you again for allowing us to bring home our wonderful Bella. She is doing fine, and shes getting so big. We love her to death. Shes very curious about everything, and has to see what we are doing. Its been such an adventure so far! We are so thankful! Dani & Paul |
| Hey Nial and Teri, James and I would like to thank you for "Noelani", the worlds greatest kitten. We love her sooo much it's incredible. I've attached a couple pictures of her the day after we picked her up. As you can see Noelani has made herself comfy, she loves to play with anything and everything, and she a heck of a talker. We are so happy to have her, and to have adopted her from you wonderful Bengal family. Mahalo much!! Lindsey & James |
| Hi Teri & Nial, I just wanted to drop in a line to let you know how things are progressing with Sam. Him and I have fallen madly in love! He is the sweetest little guy I have known. He doesn't want to be anywhere I am not, and cries if he can't find me. he is slowly getting to know the dogs. Him and my female Ashley are pals, they play with toys together, and do a lot of sniffing. Brutus, is still a bit unsure, but he is being very patient and easy with Sam and giving him some space. I am taking a lot of time to make sure and spend several hours every day one-on-one with all of them, and my lucky puppies are getting lots of treats. I want to thank you so much for working with me and making this a comfortable transition. All of us appreciate it. I will send you another e-mail with pics closer to the end of the week for an update. Meanwhile, here is the King on his new coffee table. Again, thank you both, it was a pleasure to work with people who care about what they do, and obviously have a lot of love for their animals. It shows in the cat when you get him home. Amy Ashley |
| Aloha Nial and Teri, I thought you would enjoy seeing new pictures of Aja. As you can see, she's very relaxed around the house! She's still a rascal though. You can see that we keep the water spray bottle nearby. She gets "spritzes" quite often during the day! I received her registration paper in the mail today along with the her pedigree back 5 generations. Quite impressive! I didn't realize that it took that many cats to produce the one we have. Hope you're doing fine. I'll be staying in touch and will send new pictures from time to time. If you have a chance, send me a picture of Blaze. I would like to see Aja's half-brother. Aloha, Tracy |
| Hi Nial & Teri, I just wanted to send you a quick update and pictures. Kala is doing well and growing so fast. She is turning into quite a lady. She is very active and loves her brother Kolohe. She did get fixed, so am I supposed to send you proof of that? They said she woke up and right away was bouncing all around wanting to be loved on. Of course, the active girl that she is, she pulled out on suture before she left the vet, and her other two before her follow up appt. Thank goodness they suture them up well internally so it was never a problem. I just love the two cats and they get along so well. Thank you so much for Kala, and for bringing over Kolohe. He has mellowed out quite a bit and is just a love bug. He has great hunting skills and gets any bugs, spiders or geckos that enter the house. I can't wait to see pictures of his brothers babies!! I hope you guys are doing well. Talk to you again soon! Oh, and just let me know about the spay thing. Thanks, Melissa |
| Hi Teri and Nial, Happy New Year! We just wanted to thank you again for Tabitha (speedy). She is doing great. She is a lap cat and a purrrrrrrr machine! She and Simba are best friends. I think Gizmo and Quigley are glad to get a little break from playing. Simba and Tabitha were spayed and neutered 2 weeks ago and have recovered nicely. Here are some pictures. |
| Hey Nial and Teri, This is Garrett Spruill from Chapel Hill. Yesterday, Oliver was neutered at Vine Veterinary by Dr. Ken Redman . He seems to be nearly fully recovered already. Also, I attached 2 pics from October of Oliver. He is a wonderful cat. He is very cuddly and sweet and of course loves to play. He's the star whenever friends or family come over to visit. Please let me know if you need any other documents in exchange for his papers. Hope all is well in White Lake. All the best, Garrett |
| Teri & Nial, We had an uneventful trip home. After leaving your house, Tango vocalized for about 15 minutes and explored the van. I turned on the radio and he quieted down and seemed to enjoy the political analysis on NPR. Then he climbed into my lap and spent most of the trip relaxing and sleeping there, with an occasional foray up onto the dashboard to observe traffic. I think he will be an excellent traveler. As soon as we arrived home, Tango used his litter box and has been exploring the house ever since—no indication of fear or anxiety. We have owned many cats but I have never seen one who adjusted to new environments as fast as Tango-- a testimonial to excellent breeding and great socialization, I would say! Our house is fairly large with lots of large windows and clutter—he seems delighted with all of that and is already rolling around and stretching on the floor. With some luck, a mouse will turn up soon and we will see what sort of talent Tango has for hunting. Thank you again for letting us adopt Tango. As former breeders we understand how difficult it is to give up adult pets and what a relief it is to find a good home for these guys. So again, be assured that Tango will have a great home here with us. And don’t forget to put Roberta at the top of your list for a kitten from the planned litter of silver bengals. Also we will be interested to hear about the kittens from the Tango-Gypsy breeding. Best regards, Larry |
| Dear Nial, Annise has grown up to be a beautiful Bengal kitty, alert, spunky, and very affectionate. All my friends are amazed at how good natured she is. She looks like a wildcat, but she's friendly and outgoing and loves to play rough. And, she's soooo pretty, I really think she looks like her mom, Minnie. Thanks for all your generous advice when I was first thinking of getting a bengal kitten! Thank-you, Kartina Amin |
| Hi Teri & Nial These two are mama's boy and girl. They don't like it when I sit at the computer without them on my lap, and as I said on the phone earlier, Howler licks my face at night so I will wake up and pet him. They play great with the kids and us but when they want to be held they come to me. They are sweet kitties, we do love them..... We need to take some pictures of them on the coffee table. Because one will be on the glass, and one on the bottom and they will try to attack each other. I'm not sure if they know the glass is there or not. It's funny to watch though. Thank you so much, we love these babies! Beth |
| Hi Teri, Just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you again for Sundance. He is adjusting fine to his new home. He is a riot. He sat on the bathroom sink this morning while I got ready, swatting the stream of water from the sink, etc. we love him already. Thanks again and Take Care, Logan |
| Hello, It's me again, Devin. I just wanted to brag to you a little about Kisa. The vet and everyone at the vet office was so impressed with Kisa. Of course, her tests were negative. They said she was the best kitten they've ever met. They didn't get to take her heart beat because she wouldn't stop purring. They even tried to get her to stop but she wouldn't. They also said that she didn't cry when they took her blood or when they gave her a shot either. Or when they held her down to give her the shot. She was the purrfect pateint. Anyway she checked out fine from head to toe. Tomorrow we are going to give those soft claws a go. Right now she is really sleepy so I thought I would give her a break. Devin |
| Hi Teri, Just wanted to give you an update. Ringo is doing really well. Eats like a horse! He and Dexter are getting along fine - although Dexter is 4 times his size, he's scared of Ringo. He's a curious little boy - gets into everything. He has tons of toys but prefers a feather and a piece of string. He accidentaly reconfigured my screen on my laptop by walking on the keys. It took me 2 hours to get it back to normal! He's very sweet and loves to give kisses. We're getting him a bigger cat pole today since my legs and arms look like I've been running through barbed wire. I'm going to continue him on the raw diet as it is really easy once it's cut up into serving portions - and you're right -it doesn't smell up the cat box. Hope all went well with the cat show. Did you place? I heard Barbara came down and saw Jack. Happy New Year, Bev |
| Teri and Nial, Your new website is beautiful! Nial, you do a great job! I love to get on and explore it on a regular basis. I just wanted to let you know how much our whole family continues to thoroughly enjoy Kona (Special FX). My husband Tony is very taken with him and the feeling is mutual. He keeps us entertained at all times! He has never met a stranger and everyone is amazed at how social he is! We had him neutered on Jan. 4th. Do I need to provide you with anything? I have been having ideas of adopting another, maybe one of your adults who would make a good companion to Kona and fit into our lively household. Let me know if you have thoughts on that. Thanks again for producing such a wonderful family pet (and gorgeous cat)! Barbara Gaunce |
| Hi Teri & Nial Well almost 24hrs into the new family now. I'm Very impressed with Poppi. She is very uncharacteristic for runt of the litter. She is extremely smart and learned the whole downstairs and litter box in one night. She has insatiable curiousity and NO fear. It took Mouser 3 days to do the same but he was on his own too. Mouser is slowly coming around but she is the boss. Even at 1/2 his size he runs from her. they have taken to chasing one another. Poppi to play, and Mouser to see what of his she is in to. He hid all his dragonflys under the bed after her arrival. It was so cute when Poppi got on the cat tree and Mouser got real jealous. He snuck up behind her and hit her in the right rump with just the pad of his paw and she instantly turned around and chased him into the bedroom. So no problems leaving them together when I go to work tomorrow which is a big relief. Anyways thanks again for our 2 kitties. Kevin & Karen |
| Teri, I just love him! Blaze is really a sweetheart. He has gotten used to me I think, and he is sleeping with me and laying in my lap watching tv. He hasn't had any more litter box problems, I think he was just a little freaked out that first night. Right now he is staying in my bedroom while I am at work. He is doing really well with that. I feel pretty confident that at the end of the week he will have his run of the house (as if he doesn't already!). He growls a little when hears noises outside, but then he runs and hides under the table...lol, but there's nothing aggressive about him. He hasn't tried to bite or scratch, so I'm glad for that. But he is definitely the best Christmas present ever! I can't thank you enough! Happy Holidays to you too, Lauren |
| Hi Teri Mundi has adjusted to her new environment beautifully and is doing well. My in-laws have fallen in love with her and she is a lot of company for my mother in-law, who lives alone. Her appetite is voracious and has been since day one when we brought her home. We are looking forward to Christmas and filling her stocking with lots of toys. We are planning to take some pictures of her soon. We will send you copies. Thanks for the opportunity to visit your cattery and purchase such a lovely Bengal . The Goodermotes |
| Hey Teri,
I hope your doing well. Chino is the most amazing animal i've ever had. He is absolutely hillarious. The only that he does in the morning though is he likes to pounce on my feet to wake me up. Last night was the first night he has slept in bed with me, but he has really made himself at home. I am sending you some pictures and I hope you enjoy him. Again thank you so much. Ricky |
| Hi Teri,
Just wanted to give you a quick update on Ringo. He's is hilarious. Fetches like a dog and climbs trees like a squirrel. Birds are his latest fascination - he "chatters" at them - pretty funny to watch. Still wrestling with Dexter every day. I've started taking him out on a leash. He's getting used to it, but still a little skiddish. I've still got him on raw food, and now Dexter is a convert. He's very loving and just loves to be in your face (literally). I'll be getting him neutered in the beginning of April, so I'll send you the paperwork. Here's a current picture. P.S. You should check in with Barb. Apparantly she made a video (set to music) with Kona wrestling her Golden Retriever. Hope all is well at the cattery! Regards, Bev |
| Hi Teri,
I took the boys to the vet today and everybody fell in love with them. The vet asked me where I got such good quality bengals. I gave her your name and website so hopefully you will have some business come your way from Hope Mills. The boys are helping me write this email. They love to follow the cursor on the screen. I remember you telling me that Jack likes plastic bags. Well both of them take after their dad because they love plastic. It is funny watching them chase the bags. Thanks again for all your help. I highly recommend you guys to everyone. Have a good weekend. Kelly |
| Teri and Nial,
Hey guys, sorry we haven't been in touch with photos of the babies - we've taken tons, but neither of us have downloaded them to the computer. I do hope to find time this weekend, so hopefully I'll send you some updated pix of Jack and Buffy next week. I can't believe they're 6 months old - they're gorgeous and so much fun to watch. Yet at the same time, I feel like they've been a part of my life forever. We get SO MANY complements on them from anyone who sees them or their pictures. They play so well with Casper, out Tonk kitten; and have become the 3 amigos - or the 3 demons, depending on their moods. Usually Jack is the common denominator in their wrestling matches - Casper and Buffy seem to tag team him!! Buddy, our 3 yr old, is not so happy with the 3 amigos, viewing them on the demon side 99% of the time. He definitely likes Buffy and Jack better than Casper, who seems to pick at him whenever possible. Bottom line is we love our new and enlarged family and we can't imagine life without them. I'll send pix soon and will also send Buffy's invoice when she's spayed. We hope that when you guys come down to Ft Walton for the next cat show, that you'll come out to the house and visit with us. Take care… Betty and Larry |
| Hey Teri,
How are you doin? I was just writing to you see how you were doing and to let you know that chino is doin great. He's just over 4 months now and already almost 7 pounds. All of my friends cannot believe the temperament he has. I can compare him to a Jack Russell terrier with the amount of energy he has. I bought him a cat condo that is 7 feet tall and has 7 different levels. He loves to play fetch with bottle caps. I will try to get you some pictures soon. Take Care, Ricky |
| Hi Nial,
Just thought I'd send you a little update. Penny has crowned herself queen of the castle, having settled into our new place the easiest of the three. She and my feral rescue, Ferris, have a ball together, with their interactions now more clearly playing as opposed to merely testing and questing for dominance. Ferris likes to pin her down and bite her neck, and she lets him to a point, but she is clearly not allowing him to be alpha over her. They love to chase and stalk each other all the time - it's fun to watch and they sound like a small herd of wildebeasts stampeding through the house. Penny has provided Ferris with exactly the distraction my shelter-born tortie Ginger was needing - Ginger joins in when she feels like it, but is much happier to be left alone for the most part. Ginger is definitely not acting depressed like she did when she was an only kitty - she likes the company, but still likes her alone time. Penny and Ginger are working out their roles as well, with Ginger much less dominant as she is not quite used to the new place and is obviously unsure and less confidant having never lived anywhere else except the old apartment - and before that, a cage at the shelter (I adopted her at 8 weeks old.) I'm feeling guilty that I've had no real time for the pets lately, between the move, pulling my back out, my trip to VT this past weekend, etc., etc., and I've apologized to Penny for the lack of attention, but she doesn't seem to be suffering much. In fact, with the exception of lack of playtime with her human, she seems to be contentedly living the life of Riley. We have some nice tree views in the "cat corner" in the kitchen, and she has claimed the pantry window as her own. There also is a very popular bird feeder located within view of our kitchen counter window, and Penny spends lots of time watching the birdies and making her "ack, ack, ack" noises at them. She's still helping herself to the remainder of the other cats' wet food every night, but her tummy has gotten used to it and I'm no longer seeing any stool issues at all. She's my "plate" cleaner, LOL. I do have to watch her weight, as she doesn't get the exercise that she did at your place, but although she seems to have lost some muscle-tone, she doesn't appear to have gained anything, and her eyes and coat remain clear and shiny and healthy looking. I've discovered that she really doesn't like to be petted while eating, but when we're relaxing in the living room, she gives me her belly to rub and always speaks to me with her soundless meows. I think she likes me well enough; she sometimes calls to me, then goes away when I answer her, as if she was just checking to make sure I'm there. She also seeks me out when she's in the mood for affection, and I LOVE that, and am more than happy to offer up as many scritches as she wants. She is definitely a cat's cat, and not really into people much, but she is very curious and quite friendly to anyone that visits. Overall, she's just a complete pleasure and a treasure, and I'm SO glad that our initial communications back and forth brought you to recommending her to me - she really is the perfect third in my little fur family. My roomie and I both get a kick out of her antics - I am really looking forward to continuing to develop a tight bond with her as time goes by. It's only been two months, but she has blended almost seamlessly into the household, and I consider myself extremely fortunate that you allowed me to adopt her. Please tell Teri hi from me and from Penny, and let her know that your baby girl is doing well up in Massachusetts. Betsy |

| Hello! For months now we've been meaning to give you an update on the kitten formerly known as Hayden, now Echo. As you probably already know, Echo is extraordinary! He has the best temperament of any animal I've ever met-- warm, fun-loving, adventurous, and with what I can only call a sense of humor. He loves to be picked up and held, snuggles on the bed or couch, and is always up for fun and games. And as you can see, he is also just gorgeous! He was neutered in August, and lives a happy indoor life with his sister Luna, a Siamese mix of the same age. We couldn't be happier, and can't conceive of a life without a Bengal!
Thanks so much for such a great companion, Melissa Dave |
